Miss Lydia Matthies, 71, of 728 North Seventh street, died late Saturday night
at the Two Rivers Municipal hospital, where she had been a patient for six
weeks.
Christian Science services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Klein and
Stangel Inc., funeral home, Two Rivers, with burial in Pioneers Rest cemetery
there.
She was born in Two Rivers in 1876, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Matthies.
She was employed in the law office of Atty. Fred W. Dicke in Two Rivers from
1902 to 1916, after which she was employed at Kahlenberg Bros. company in Two
Rivers.
For the past three years she resided with her only survivor, a half-sister, Mrs.
Herman Raatz, in this city.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
