Lila Lee Yancey Alexander, 96, former longtime resident of Old Williamsport Pike, died Monday, January 15, 2018, at Alexian Village in Signal Mountain where she had made her home for the past few years.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Swango officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 10:00 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Born September 17, 1921 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Everett L. Yancey and the late Georgia Ann Kirkwood Presley. On September 21, 1946, she married Sidney C. Alexander who preceded her in death April 7, 1982. She was a loving wife, a proud mother and grandmother, and trusted friend. Mrs. Alexander was a member of Loyal Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia (Dick) Hedrick of Greenwood, SC; son, Larry D. Alexander of Hixson; daughter-in-law, Jane Alexander of Columbia; grandchildren,
