Jim worked in the coal mines for 42 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by two daughters Joyce K. Teets of Fellowsville and Judy Lynn Cartwright of Morgantown; three sons, Sam J. Baker of Florida, Charles David Baker of Morgantown, and Paul W. (Linda) Baker of Reedsville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, brothers and sisters.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Viola “Kay” Baker and a son, Richard Lee.
Family and friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 5pm until the time of service at 6pm, Thursday, June 30th with Pastor Brian Kiel officiating. Private graveside services will be held at Davis Cemetery.
