Leslie W. Wade, 71, of 1521 Taughannock Blvd., Ithaca, died in Tompkins County Hospital.

He was an administrative aide to the chair of the Dept. of Floriculture and Ornamental Horticulture, Cornell University for 18 years. He retired in 1974.

Leslie Wade was an Olympic miler for Canada in the 1932 Royal Empire Games, London, England.

He was a member of the Fidelity Lodge 51, F. & A.M., a 32nd degree Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Eugenia Wade; a daughter, Mrs. John S. Auston of Denver, Colorado; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. David S. Laing, Brockville, Ontario, Canada.

Private funeral services will be held. The Wagner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
