THOR TOLLEFSON

Thor Tolefson (sic) died last Thursday at the home of his sister just south of the city from cancer of the stomach from which he had suffered for some time.

The deceased was born in Norway 65 years ago and came to this country when a child, his parents settling on a farm in the Town of Rapids near Branch where he grew to manhood. In his younger days he was a powerful man. Of late years, illness kept him in close confinement.

At the time of his death, his sister, Mrs. Ida Johnson was with him while the other surviving sister, Mrs. Maranda Erickson was in the Holy Family Hospital where she underwent a surgical procedure a few days before his death.

The funeral took place Saturday afternoon at Jerpen, Rev White officiated.

The remains of Thor Tollefson were brought from Manitowoc where he died to Jerpen church where funeral services were held by Rev. A. O. White and buried in the adjoining cemetery. He leaves three sisters, Mrs. Olson of Sawyer and Mrs. K. Johnson and Mrs. Miranda Erickson of Manitowoc, the latter being now confined at the Holy Family Hospital after an operation for gallstones.
