TAYLOR COUNTY KENTUCKY OBITUARY – 1976
Delmer Bland, 65, died Tuesday, December 2, [1976], at his residence on Route 1, Elkhorn. He was a native of Casey County born there October 1, 1911, the son of the late Harlan D. Bland & Victoria Noel Bland, who survives. Mr. Bland was a farmer and a member of the Jones Chapel Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife: Millie McDonald Bland; his mother: Victoria Fugate of Campbellsville; 3 sons: Donald Bland of Campbellsville, Lynwood Bland of Louisville and Davis Bland of Mt. Washington; 3 daughters: Mrs. Janet Wesley of Campbellsville, Brenda Eastridge of Shepherdsville, and Joy Peters of Kissmmee, FL; 6 sisters: Elnora Wethington of Louisville, Cora Combs of Marseiles, IL, Oplis Baxter of Elkhorn, Ruth Gilpin of Campbellsville, Ethil Cox of Elkhorn, and Floy Fewell; 8 grandchildren and 1 step-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted by the Lyon Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 4, at Jones Chapel Methodist Church by Rev. Harold Squires. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
