D.L. "Pete" Bogard, 55, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2007, after a courageous and valiant war against prostate cancer. Funeral: 3 p.m. Monday, in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the family's home, 1806 Talon Court, Keller. A second memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at First Baptist Church of Tucumcari.

He was born Sept. 27,1951, to Goldie and the late Fred Bogard. Following his father's footsteps, he owned and managed several dealerships in the Metroplex and Amarillo. He spent much time mentoring and teaching others the car business. Later, he partnered with his son, Blake, at Texas Auto Wholesale. An avid aviator and boater, he enjoyed many days in the skies and on the water. Pete was a kind, loving, gentle and patient man who loved life, family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. James Vestal, Mary Peterson, Melissa Thacker and Dee Pruitt. Pete was preceded in death by his father, Fred.
