Elizabeth A. "Betty" Girard, 81, of 1415 W. Willow St., Chippewa Falls, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire. She was born October 10, 1925, in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Jacob and Mary (Hebert) Scheidler. She graduated from McDonell High School. She married Earl B. Girard on July 17, 1948. She had worked as a dental assistant. She was a member of Elk Ladies, Partners of St. Joseph's Hospital, Catholic Woman's Club, St. Ann and St. John's Circles and St. Charles Church.

She is survived by one sister, Antoinette Kuba, of Bloomer; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Scheidler and Kathryn Scheidler, both of Chippewa Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl B., on December 17, 1986; her parents; two brothers, Clifford and Floyd Scheidler; and one brother-in-law, Andrew Kuba.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, March 30, 2007, at St. Charles Church, Chippewa Falls. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services Friday, March 30, at St. Charles Church, Chippewa Falls, where the Ladies of St. Charles will recite the rosary at 11:30 a.m.
