Leonard W. Price, 87, died April 4, 2006.
Born in Chester, W. Va., on April 6, 1918, he lived most of his life in Akron. Mr. Price served in the United States Army Third Infantry Division, 601st Tank Destroyer Battalion in Europe during World War II, and worked as a tire tester for B.F. Goodrich Tire & Rubber Co., retiring with over 40 years of service. Mr. Price was an avid Cavaliers and Indians fan, and loved to bowl.
Preceded in death by wife, Viola, and daughter, Carol Goldie, he is survived by sons, Wayne and Keith, both of Akron, and Brian (Kim) of Harwichport, Mass.; grandsons, Lenny (Barbie) Goldie, Andy (Amy) Goldie, and Nicholas Price; and great-grandchildren, Jessica and Jennifer Goldie.
Services will be held at 12 p.m. FRIDAY at the Bokas Funeral Home, 3653 W. Market St., Fairlawn, with the Rev. Dr. Donard M. Engle officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park, where American Legion Post 281 will conduct military services. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. THURSDAY.
