Infant son of George and Zilpha. Obituary ran in the Raleigh newspaper "Spirit of the Age" July 14th, 1858. Since the obituary was probably submitted by letter and refers to his death occurring on "the 14th instant" previous, Pleasant apparently died on June 14th of 1858. Placing Pleasant's burial in the UGBC Cemetery is problematic, because although random religious services were held at Union Grove as early as August 1857, the meetings weren't an official self governing church and weren't deeded land to hold meetings on until around October 1858. If anyone knows of a more likely location for Pleasant's burial, please let me know.
