Funeral services for John William Grizzle, of Joy, who died Wednesday morning in the Mercer hospital, Davenport, Ia., will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the Joy Methodist chruch with Rev Dickerson in charge. Burial will be in the Peniel cemetery.
Mr Grizzle was born in Kentucky, Jan 4, 1876 and came to Mercer County 35 years ago. Surviving are the widow, a daughter, Mrs Rex Love; two sons, Paul of Aledo and Lt Howard of Camp Smyrna, Tenn., and six grandchildren.
Mr Grizzle had been in failing health for the past year and was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning.
