William T. Burns, 69* father of Charles and William Burns, who were killed in automobile accidents within the past seven months, died at the family home, 311 Auburn Street, yesterday afternoon after a brief illness.
Charles Burns was fatally injured in an automobile accident near Princeton, N. J., last Fall while he was en route to the Cornell-Princeton football game. William Burns, jr., was killed about a month ago when the automobile in which he was riding [with several]other Ithacans, crashed into a tree at Jacksonville.
Mr. Burns, for many years a well known contractor and builder is survived by his widow, Rosella Burns; two sons, George and John Burns, one daughter, Mrs. Helen Vandemark, and one sister, Mrs. John Lavelle of Syracuse.
