Private services for close friends and relatives will be held today, Thursday, May 12 at 2 p.m. at the Mount Shasta Memorial Chapel for Norman and Sidona Beaughan. Fr. Thomas Cartwright from the St. Barnabas Episcopal Church of Dunsmuir will officiate.
The Beaughan's were married in San Francisco on April 18, 1918.
He was a member of the Dunsmuir Lodge 297 F & AM. She was a member of Eastern Star, Dunsmuir. Both were members of the American Legion. Mr. Beaughan was born Etna and his wife was born in Nebraska (typo, CA).
Beaughan was a retired lease clerk for the Southern Pacific Company and was a former city clerk of Dunsmuir. Mrs. Beaughan time at the Elementary School here for many years, a position from which she had retired.
Survivors include his sister Mrs. Frederick Evans of Sacramento (formerly Lucille of Dunsmuir); a niece, Mrs. Glenn R. White of Bellevue, Washington; cousins, Gerald and Reginald Wetzel of McCloud.
Mrs. Beaughan is survived by a niece, Mrs. Gloria Sorensen of Whittier, California; Mrs. Lowell Dyer of Knights Landing, Mrs. Wesley Ward of Sacramento and Mrs. Margaret Peterson of Napa.
Internet will be at the Mt. Shasta Memorial Park. The family requests that donations be made to the Shriners Crippled Children's Hospital in San Francisco.
