Thomas, 71, of Marshall passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence following a short illness. Tom was born to Homer and Marion (Pearce) Reynolds.

He graduated from Hastings High School in 1965, he attended Kellogg Community College and would transfer to and graduate from Central Michigan University. While attending CMU, he played on the golf team. On June 28, 1980 he married Debra Genshaw at Zion Lutheran Church in Marshall.

Tom taught at Marshall High School as the Physical Education Teacher for 41 years and retired in 2009. During his time at Marshall, he coached the Golf Team for 43 years and taught Drivers Training for 25 years.

He was a member of the Marshall Moose Lodge #676, the Michigan Golf Coaches Association, and MHSAA Referees Association. Tom was an avid golfer and played softball. He was fan of MSU and CMU football and basketball, and a true Marshall Redskin.

He loved traveling the back country roads. Tom had a passion for teaching and helping make a difference in any student’s life. He loved spending time with his family and supporting his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Debra of Marshall; children, Todd Reynolds of Marshall, Dana (John Levendosky) Reynolds of Holland, and Lindsey (Samuel) Rodriguez of Marshall; grandchildren, Mitchell Reynolds, Landry Reynolds, Madison Reynolds, Harlow Levendosky, Holden Levendosky, Scarlett Rodriguez, and Lillian Rodriguez; daughter-in-law Lesa Reynolds; brothers, David Reynolds and Jack (Chris) Reynolds all of Hastings.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services celebrating his life took place on Saturday March 17, 2018 at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Service Marshall Chapel with Reverend David Boedecker officiating. Interment followed at Oakridge Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are requested to the Book Store Open. A gathering was held at the Marshall High School Cafeteria. It is requested that in honor of Tom all who attended the service be in there golf shirt or golf pull over.
