SARAH F. DOGGETT
With the death of Mrs. T. C. Doggett of Independence Township Sunday, makes the third death to occur in the family within three weeks, a sister-in-law, Mrs. W.D. (Lillie) Epperson, and W.D. Epperson, her brother, died three weeks ago.
Mrs. Doggett had been in poor health for some time and had been taken to a hospital for treatment and examination and died Sunday, March 8, 1931, at the hospital in Macon. Mrs. Dogget was sixty-nine years, eleven months and fifteen days old.
Sarah F. Epperson, daughter of John and Lucy (Bunch) Epperson, was born in Putnam County, Missouri on March 23, 1861. She was married to Theodore C. Doggett on January 22, 1889. One child was born to them which died in infancy.
She has spent most of her entire life in Macon County. She was a member of the Primative Baptist Church and was a devoted christian, faithful to her church.
She is survived by her husband, four brothers, J.D., W.O., Lon and G.B. Epperson, one sister, Mrs. A.H. Doggett, all of the home community. Besides these there are many other relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
Funeral services were held at the Primative Baptist Church in Atlanta on March 10, 1931, and burial was made at the Steele cemetery
