The death of Mrs. Hazel Marie Scranton Bassett, wife of Charles Bassett of South Granby, occurred at the home of her father, George Scranton of Elbridge, on Monday, Jan. 14th. She died after an illness of two weeks, leaving an infant son, Ellsworth Clyde, born Dec. 31, 1928, also a son three years old. Mrs. Bassett's death came as a shock to her many friends as she was only 22 years of age.
Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, a father, sister and two brothers. Funeral services were held.at the home of her father, George Scranton of Elbridge, on Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Gibbs of Jordan; interment at Jacksonville cemetery
