He was born 70 years ago on February 9th 1948 in Ticonderoga, N.Y., he was the son of Robert "Redbone" "Rob" L. and Emily "Molly" M. (Trombley) Allen of Mineville, N.Y.

Mike was a graduate of Moriah Central School and attended Hudson Valley Community College before going to work for International Paper Company in Ticonderoga, N.Y.

Shortly thereafter, he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served a two year tour of duty as a Generator Operator for the Hawk Missile sites in Germany.

Michael loved Harleys, fast cars of every kind, Chevrolets and especially his Corvettes. He was also fascinated with airplanes and flying and obtained his private pilot’s license in 1986,
