He was born in Camden, NJ on January 30, 1935. He retired from the Army after 20 years of honorable service. During this time he served three tours in Vietnam. He earned two Bronze Stars and two Purple Hearts with valor, along with many other commendations.
Arthur is survived by his sons, Mark Abendschein and wife Belinda, Eric Abendschein, and Anton Abendschein; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; and his precious dachshund, Millie.
A memorial service is planned for 2 pm on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
