(1957 - 2018)

New Holstein - Gerald "Jerry" J. Glasow, 60, of New Holstein, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his residence.

Jerry was born on November 30, 1957 in Manitowoc, to the late Theodore and Evangeline (Bennin) Glasow. He attended St. Peter's Grade School in Collins. On March 25, 1995 he married Rita Schmidt at Bethel United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on November 21, 2013. Jerry worked at Tecumseh, drove truck, and most recently, he was employed at Kohler Company. He enjoyed the great outdoors especially fishing, hunting, sporting clay, four-wheeling, snowmobiling and going up north to his friend's cabin. Jerry was known to many for always taking special pride in his vehicles, he always had the cleanest truck both inside and out. He loved taking his Harley motorcycle out for cruises especially with the company of his wife or daughter.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Glasow, New Holstein; brother, Jerome (Nancy) Glasow, Collins; sister-in-law, Gladys (Scott) Rickert, Kiel; nieces and nephews: Carl Glasow, Nevada, Jason Glasow, Reedsville, Christopher Glasow, Manitowoc, Ashley (Nick Hoffman) Rickert, Kiel, and Derek Rickert, California; 4 great-nieces and other relatives and many special friends especially, Calvin Bray. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife: Rita, his parents, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law.

Funeral Services for Jerry will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Bethel United Methodist Church (10509 Meggers Road, New Holstein) with Pastor Susan Safford-Gaul officiating. Burial will follow at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends at Church from 9:00am until the time of service at noon.

Jerry's family would like to extend a thank you to his family and friends for all the support to Michelle and family during this difficult time. Also to the New Holstein Police Dept and First Responders for their quick response and compassion shown to the family.

The Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, Kiel is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
