Charles “Sonny” Naaman Odom, 84, of Orange, Texas, passed away on March 21, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Sunday, at Noble Cemetery in Noble, Louisiana.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Born in Noble, Louisiana, on June 3, 1933, he was the son of Melvin Lee Odom and Beulah Ann (Webb) Odom. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of North Orange Baptist Church. He worked as an operational supervisor at Texaco/Chevron for many loyal years before retiring to spend time with his family. Sonny enjoyed reading, traveling, family gatherings, and drinking coffee with his friends at McDonalds. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Beulah Odom; and his brother, Travis Lee Odom.

Sonny is survived by his loving wife of almost 59 years, Carol Ann Williams Odom; and his sister, Billie Odom Burns.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rylan Odom, Kaghan Odom, Dylan Harrell, Lane Taylor, Kriston Burns, and Brandon Burns. Honorary pallbearers are Randall Odom, Derryl Harrell, and Jerry Windham.
