HALE, Margaret Williams, 84, of Clifton Forge, formerly of Vinton, died Thursday, February 28, 2002, in the Woodlands Nursing Home, Clifton Forge. She was born in Giles County on June 22, 1917, and was the daughter of the late George and Harriet Frazier Williams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hunter B. Hale, Sr., and a son, Larry Hale.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Hunter B. and Fran Hale, Jr., Iron Gate; a brother, Waldo Williams, Pearisburg; two grandchildren, Heather Wright and her husband, Darrel, Pearisburg, Christina Hale, Iron Gate; a great-grandchild, Hunter Wright, Pearisburg.

Graveside services will be held Monday, March 4, 2002, at 11 a.m. in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg, with the Rev. Todd Millsaps officiating. The family will receive friends at Riffe's Funeral Service, Narrows, Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. The family has suggested that those who are going to send memorials, please consider the Iron Gate Baptist Church, P.O. Box 193 Iron Gate, Va.
