Roy's siblings are as follows: Evelyn Marie Smith Smith, Florence Martha Smith Dishman, Harvey Louis Smith, Baby Sister Smith, Thelma Louise Smith Shelley, Lawrence Edward Smith, and Barbara Jean Smith Salvati.
He married Jane Loughry on May 8, 1940.
They were blessed with two sons. Roy "Butch" John Smith and Ronald Eugene Smith.
He lost Jane.
During World War II, Roy was in the US Navy.
Later he married Mary Ann Ruth Otis on July 14, 1947 in Riverside, Riverside County, California.
Uncle Roy worked as a retail grocery store manager in Southern California for many years. When he retired he and Aunt Pat moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.
On July 13, 1997 a 50th Wedding Anniversary Party was held in Las Vegas for them. Many family and friends made the trip to be with them. It was a Great time for all.
They happily lived in Las Vegas for 12 years, they enjoyed the slots and using their comps for fun extras. Uncle Roy especially enjoyed a good poker game.
Uncle Roy left behind his wife, Pat, four Grandchildren, eleven Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews.
His funeral was in Las Vegas on Wednesday, July 14, 1999 with Burial at Rose Hill's on July 16, 1999.
