Charles Chester Cameron born on February 7, 1912 in Porter, Wagoner County Oklahoma.
Growing up, Chester was a good athlete and was known as Cyclone. Upon high school graduation, Chester went to work in the oil fields of Texas.
When WWII broke out in 1941, Chester enlisted into the Army Air Corp and was assigned to the Third Photo Interpretation Detachment in North Africa and then to Italy.
Returning home from the War, Chester enrolled at Oklahoma State University under the GI Bill and graduated in 1948 with a Business Science degree. He went to work for Stanolind Oil Co in Odessa, Texas. While at OSU Chester met Blanche W Barnett and on June 11, 1949 in Waynoka, Oklahoma, the couple was married.
Several years after the War, Chester and his father Charles opened the Meat Locker in Haskell. The Camerons operated the Meat Locker until 1968 when Chester retired.
Chester was on the Board of Directors for the Haskell First United Methodist Church for 20 years. He was also a member of the VFW Post 8704, American Legion Post 56 and served as Commander in 1964-1966.
