My beloved aunt, Rose Geisler Brown, 69, of 4736 Douglas Road, died in Golden Haven Nursing Home after a year's illness.
A lifelong Toledo resident, Miss Brown was a clerk about 15 years with the old Willy's Corp., retiring in 1932.
Surviving at the time of her death were her sisters. Mrs. Freida Nelson, Mrs. Edith Kehle, and Mrs. Mary Jane St. Aubin, all of Toledo, and Mrs. Edna Betty Wyrick, of Greensboro, N.C., and brothers, Ernest and Robert, both of Toledo. My beloved mother, Betty, had always thought of her sister Rose as a second mother having taking a large part in raising her due to a large family.
Services were held Monday December 28 at 10 a.m. in the H.H. Birkenkamp Mortuary, Trilby, with burial in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The body would lay in state after 12 noon on that Saturday.

Note: It should be mentioned that Rose's middle name is also her maiden name. She was in fact a step sibling to her family. She chose to keep her name "Geisler" but also keeping her last name as "Brown". However her name on her grave marker is "Rose Geisler". Her family often wondered why she chose to do so, but that made no difference to the love her family shared.
