Marrion first married Marshall Gilbert Burton on 5 Feb 1862 in Steuben County, NY and had one child, Eva May Burton. After Marshall's death, she then married Charles Carter on 24 Jan 1896 in Lockport, NY.

The following is from cemetery records:

"MARION B. CARTER BURIED MARCH 23, 1931 - SEC. M LOT 57"

Funeral services for Marion Burton Carter were held from the Prudden Funeral Home, 242 Genesee street, Saturday afternoon, March 23rd at two o'clock, Rev. Jameson of the Second Presbyterian church officiating. Then followed the beautiful and impressive Rebekah service with several selections by Mrs. Howard Dysinger. Myrtle Lodge No. 84, Daughters of Rebekah, and Zura Zuanna No. 38, L. O. T. O., of which the deceased was a member, attended the services in a body, The following members of Canton Niagara, No. 7, acted as bearers John Gammack, Harry Burch, John Nieman, William Maull, Roy O. Kohler and Samuel Argue. Interment was made in Cold Springs cemetery.

Aged 92 years.

There is a small headstone inscribed "M.B.C.", which I believe is for Marion.

(I believe M.G.B. is for Marion's first husband, Marshall Gilbert Burton)
