Gerald E. Johnson, 58, died at 7:59 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital emergency room. He was born September 21, 1947, in Zanesville, a son of the late Delbert and Alberta Smith Johnson. He worked for 25 years at Owens Corning Fiberglass Co and then worked construction. Gerald was a NASCAR enthusiast, who loved both #8 and # 3, Dale Earnhardt Jr. & Sr. Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years, Barbara Lemmon Johnson, whom he married June 4, 1966, of the home, a son, Adam(Wendy)Johnson of Zanesville, a daughter, Eve(Eric)McNulty of New Lexington, two grandchildren, Brooke and Brody McNulty, three step-grandchildren, Jonathon and Alexa Swartz and Katie McNulty and a half brother, Ernie Balsley of Zanesville. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Johnson and a half-brother, Jim Balsley. A caring cremation will take place following the service.
