Edith Burnett ~ At Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton on Saturday, March 10, 2018, Edith Mae (Johnston) Burnett formerly of Listowel, in her 96th year. Wife of the late Fred M. Bender and the late Les Burnett. Mother of Elaine and Ray Coneybeare of Listowel, Keith and Betty Bender of Listowel, and Linda and Gerald Drew of Oshawa. Grandmother of Lori and Brent Bierwirth, of Calgary, AB, Mark Coneybeare and Cheryl Dobson of Listowel, Nathan and Wanda Bender of Lakefield, Tim Bender of Guelph, Tennille and Dave Reid of Cavan, Darcy and Scott Hobe of Bowmanville, Adam and Jenn Burnett of Kelowna, BC, and Matt and Kat Burnett of Australia. Also, lovingly remembered by 18 great-grandchildren,1 great-great-grandchild, nieces Anne Boehm (Larry) and Thelma Weiser, and nephew Doug Johnston (Jodi). Predeceased by brothers George, Eric and Cliff, son Lee Burnett, daughter-in-law Joanne Burnett, and grandson Steven Coneybeare (Charlotte Dettwiler). Edith enjoyed the friendships which she made through church groups, playing bridge, golfing and selling Avon for over fifty years in the Listowel area.
Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
