Darrel W. Martin, 70, of Noblesville, IN, passed away Monday morning (March 26, 2018) at St. Vincent Hospital after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.

Darrel was born in Boonville, IN on November 18, 1947, to George Martin and Ruth (Taylor) Martin with his twin sister Darlene.

He married Debbie McConnell on July 31, 1970 and together with her, he raised three wonderful boys. Darrel worked for Alcoa until he retired in 2009 and was a Deacon at Main Street Baptist Church for many years. Darrel always prioritized time for his family, enjoyed fishing with his grandsons and was well known for his world-famous ranch dip.

He is survived by his beloved wife Debbie of 47 years; his three proud sons DeWayne (Jessica) Martin of Carmel, IN, Drew (Courtney) Martin of Cincinnati, OH, DJ (Aaron Lustbader) Martin of Brooklyn, NY; three doting grandchildren Michael & Carter Martin of Carmel, IN and Dylan Martin-Lustbader of Brooklyn, NY as well as his sisters Darlene (Reginald) Heck & Deena (Daniel) Russell, seven nieces & nephews and the rest of his family and friends.

The visitation will be held at Koehler's Funeral Home of Boonville, IN on Friday, March 30th from 2:00pm to 7:00pm and will continue Saturday, March 31st from 9am until the funeral service begins at 10am. Interment to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Studio Bee Community Youth Center or the American Heart Association.
