She was born on Jan. 15, 1937, in Mayport, a daughter of the late Martha (Burkett) and Archie Dinger.
On June 18, 1955, she married Joseph "Eggy" Adams, Jr., who preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 2015.
Evelyn was a member of the Dora Evangelical Church.
She enjoyed baking, gardening, crocheting, sewing, church functions, church dinners and her dog, Zeke.
She worked as a CNA at the Pennsylvania Memorial Home and Laurelbrooke Landing in Brookville.
She is survived by two sons, Archie Adams and wife Wanda of Ringgold and Dave Adams and wife Jayme of Punxsutawney; five granddaughters, Amy Adams of Punxsutawney, Amanda Kurtz and husband Adam of Rossiter, Kacie Adams and fiancé Brock of Punxsutawney, Jordan Adams of Punxsutawney, and Leslie Monoskey of Punxsutawney; six great-grandchildren, Aiden Kurtz, Kaitlyn Cessna, Kellan Cessna, Logan Geist, Landon Sisk and Jameson Hill; and two sisters, Jean Magagnotti of Seminole, and Melva Reed and husband Ray of Ringgold.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Carl Adams; a sister, Mabel Newcome; and two brothers, Archie and Harold Dinger.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the funeral home, with Pastor Ken Alt officiating.
Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
