He was born in Parkersburg, WV to the late Charles Johnson and Lillian Postlewaite. He was also preceded in death by his beloved dog, Pappy. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He also worked as a self-employed plumber for many years.
Survivors include 3 daughters, 1 son, 6 brothers, 1 stepbrother, 2 half sisters, 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; 2 great friends, Leonard and Jackie Mayhew.
Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
