Organized Crime Figure. He took control of the Bronx, New York City, New York-based Reina Mafia Family following the murder of mobster Bonaventura Pinzolo during the "Castellammare War" of the early 1930s. He led the family until he died of natural causes in 1951. Following his death Thomas Luchese became boss of the Family, which still bears Luchese's name.
