Mrs. Addie Holly [sic] Sage of 317 E. Court St., died today, June 8, 1950. She was a life-long resident of Tompkins Co. and the widow of Chester A. Sage. Surviving are a half-brother, Clarence S. Hill and a brother-in-law, Chauncey F. Cowles, both of Ithaca.
Published in The Ithaca Journal on 8 June 1950, page 3

From Contributor: S.J. (46931676):
Clarence S. Hill was her half-brother, a child of her mother's marriage to Isaac Edwin Hill. He is mentioned, along with Addie, in another obituary for their mother (Ithaca Daily News, 12 Mar 1900, page ?) "She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. C.A. Sage, Mrs. Chauncey Cowles and Mrs. William Phillips, and one son Clarence S. Hill."

Also, Addie Sage left her estate to her half-brother, Clarence S. Sage and her brother-in-law, Chauncey Cowles, her other siblings having pre-deceased her.

Another mention of the relationship of Addie Sage to Charlotte Schoonmaker Hawley Hill is a mention in the Ithaca Daily Journal, 13 Aug 1886, page 3, which states: "Mr. and Mrs. Chester Sage, of Elmira, are guests of Mrs. Sage's mother, Mrs. I.E. Hill, of Pleasant street"

In the Ithaca City Directories she is listed with Chester A. Sage at 317 E. Mill St., (Mill St. was renamed Court St, the house number remained the same ) from 1923-1949. After Chester's death in 1930, she is listed as his widow. That's the same address as in her obituary.
