Jim Eager was born in Marion County 4/7/1883 to Dennis D. and Hannah J (Alkire) Eager. He had sisters Ruth, Mary, & Anna. He married May Irene Morrow (mother of Ruth Eager born to her before she married Jim. Miss Morrow had an affair w/ "Everett" (don't know if Everett was 1st or last name. He may have ended up at Marion Infirmary) and the result was Ruth. Jim gave her his last name.) May died in 1912. He then married Zola Fay Calvin at Bryan OH on 6/15/1915, had children James, Ray, B. Jean, Sandra, Peggy Joan, & Joel. Mr. Eager found out he had cancer and shot himself in Aug. 1962 at his home at 1021 Congress St. He was known to be a kind and funny man. He was retired from the Erie Railroad, where he had worked since 12/06/1906.
