Miss Julia McKnight, 76, lifelong resident of the town of New Denmark, Brown county, died at the home of her niece, Mrs. Walter Welsing, Green Bay, late Wednesday evening, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. James Catholic Church in Cooperstown, the Rev. Joseph A. Bartelme officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be lie in state until time of services at the Knutson funeral home, Denmark. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tonight and Friday night at the funeral home.
She was born in 1869 in New Denmark and has lived in that vicinity all her life. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Nora Wood of Fond du Lac and several nieces and nephews.
