Mrs. Travers was born in Shelton, on January 19, 1932, daughter of the late William and Charlotte (Hummell) Rich and was a lifelong Shelton resident. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Travers is the beloved mother of Gerri-Ann Harte and her husband James and Joan Truax and her husband David and sister of Toby DiCicco. She is the loving grandmother of Jamie, Sean and Mary Beth Harte, Megan Oldham and David Truax, Jr. and great grandmother of, Aiden and Riley Harte.
