Joyce C. Bourgeois, age 88, was born on August 21, 1929 and went to be with her lord and savior on the day of his resurrection at her home in Lutcher April 1, 2018.
She is survived by her children: Keith (Patty), Kyle (Kim Lane), Kim (Dale) Melancon, Kelly (Lynn) Guidry, Kay (Stephen) Guidry; brothers: John (Rosemary) Caldarera, Jr., Glenn (Linda) Caldarera, and sister, Letitia "Letty" (Dwain) Richard.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edmond "Big Boy" Bourgeois, Jr.; parents, John Caldarera, Sr. and Letitia Schexnayder Caldarera as well as her brothers: Joseph "Buster" (Virginia), Louis (Laurence) Sr., Curtis and Myrtis Caldarera, and Noella C. Frazier (Warren, Sr.)
She also leaves 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
A visitation in her honor will be on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
The visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA.
Burial will follow in the church mausoleum.
Joyce's grandsons will serve as pallbearer's.
