Carl Goessl, 53, of Cooperstown, died Wednesday afternoon in a Manitowoc hospital, following a heart attack suffered at noon. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am Saturday at the St. James Catholic church in the town of Cooperstown with the Rev. Peter Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Goessl was born May 17, 1902 in the Town of Gibson where he farmed until seven years ago when he moved to Manitowoc Rapids. He never married.

Survivors include two brothers, Walter of Cooperstown and Edward of Denmark; a sister, Mrs. Arthur Posvic of Manitowoc and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call at the DeWane Funeral Home in Denmark after 7 pm Thursday. Rosary will be recited at 8 pm Thursday and Friday.
