PIONEER DIES AT DENMARK
Gust Hager, 91, Will be Buried at Cooperstown


Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the All Saints Catholic church at Denmark for Gust Hager, 91, pioneer farmer of Denmark, who died Wednesday morning at a Green Bay hospital from causes incident to old age. The body was taken to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph Schaetz, Denmark, from the Wochos funeral home today. Burial will be in the Cooperstown cemetery.

Mr. Hager was born in Berlin, Germany, on February 29, 1844. He came to America when he was two years old and settled with his parents in Cooperstown. He lived there until his marriage to Miss Mary Cortez of Newton in 1880, when he moved to Denmark. His wife died 26 years ago and in 1911 he married Miss Frances Cywinski of Glenmore.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; two daughters, Marie, Chicago and Mrs. Joseph Schaetz, Denmark; two sons, Edward, Green Bay and Peter, Lena and two step-brothers, Anton, Manitowoc and Constance of Cooperstown.
