Julia Krummel, 93, a Denmark resident, died late Sunday evening, July 21, 1996 at the home of her daughter.

The daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Sladky) Stodola was born on May 21, 1903 in the Town of Franklin and was a lifelong Denmark area resident. The former Julia Stodola and George Krummel were married on June 28, 1932 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Stangelville, and he preceded her in death on March 28, 1976. The couple had farmed all of their lives. Julia was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown, and the Altar Society at the church. She had been a 4-H Leader, and member of the Bolt Homemakers and a member of the Sacred Heart Circle #1039 of the Daughter of Isabella in Denmark. Julia loved to garden and to work with her church.

Survivors include her daughter, Delores and Delano Wanish, Bellevue; her grandchildren, Denise Wanish and Doreen Wanish, both of Green Bay; a sister, Lucille Shebasta, Denmark; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends, including a very special friend, Rose Steinburger, Mishicot.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; a granddaughter, Debbie; her parents; five sisters, Elizabeth Stodola in infancy; Rose Selner, Ludmila Ourada, Mary Haybeck, Helen Kugel; three infant brothers, Joseph, Jacob and Frank.

Friends may call at the Knutson Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County Hwy R, Denmark, from 4 until 8 this evening and on Wednesday after 10:30 a.m. until the cortege leaves for church. There will be a Daughters of Isabella Rosary at 4:00 today and the parish prayer service at 7:00. Mass of Christian Burial noon Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown with Father Ronald Columbo officiating; Burial in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
