Louis J. Kubichek, 82, W. Zander Rd., Denmark, died Tuesday morning, May 14, 1991 at a Manitowoc hospital.
He was born Aug. 19, 1908 in the Town of New Denmark, Brown County, the son of the late Matt and Mary (Soukup) Kubichka. He attended schools in Denmark. On June 25, 1929 he married Theresa Swada in Manitowoc. Mr. Kubichek worked for Manitowoc Shipbuilding Co. and Local #107 Boilermakers Union of Milwaukee, retiring in August, 1973. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown, and a past member of the Maribel Sportsmen's Club.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa; one daughter, Dorothy Bergelin, Mishicot; one son and two daughters-in-law, Louis and Ruth Kubichek Jr., Eau Claire; Nancy Shusta, Appleton; six grandsons; one granddaughter; 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Charles Kubichek, Tonasket, Wash.; five sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law, Olive Luedtke, Manitowoc; Esther and Al Jaeckel, Two Rivers; Frances and Ralph Bodwin, Two Rivers; Anna and Norbert Grimm, Two Rivers; Rose and Howrd Welhoefer, Manitowoc. Louis was preceded in death by one son, Delmar; one grandson, Gary; one son-in-law, Edward Bergelin; five brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at the Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until time of service at St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown; Parish prayer service 8 p.m. today; Funeral 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Thomas Stocker officiating; Burial in the parish cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established for St. James Catholic Church.
