--From The Medford Mail Tribune, 03/21/2014:

On March 9, 2014, Ray C. Bartz passed away surrounded by his family. He was born April 26, 1932 to Bill and Alice Bartz in Pampa, Texas.

In 1948 he moved to California where he met Billie Kinnear (now deceased) and they were married in 1951. They had four children, Dennis (Pam) Bartz, Patti (Rick) Frost, and twins, Charlene (Sheldon) Grafton and Darlene Bartz; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, all who survive. He is also survived by sister, Carolyn Robinson.

Ray loved cars and worked as a salesman for Hartman Buick in Los Angeles, Calif. for many years. He later owned a Chevron gas station and Bartz Auto. During those years he and Billie would travel to Oregon to visit their daughter, Charlene, and the grandkids. They purchased land in Eagle Point and came back to build their retirement home in 1994.

Ray could always be found working in his garage. He and Billie loved to go "Jeeping". They were members of the Chuckawalla Jeep Club for over 50 years.

The family would like to thank the staff at Providence Hospital for their care in Ray's last days. A special thank you to his care-giver, Fran, whose feisty spirit brightened his day.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at his home in Eagle Point for friends and family.

Dad - we miss you so much but we know you and Mom are
together again. We love you and will see you again.
