She was born August 24, 1943, in Galesburg, the daughter of Everett Z. and Edna C. (Mayes) Wenn. She married Robert Mitchell and later Pat Napier.
She is survived by a son, Denny Napier of Galesburg; a daughter, Annette Stancomb of Claremont, Minnesota; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Napier of Galesburg; six grandchildren, Waylon, Benjamin, Lauren, Gary, Kelly, and Nicolas; a great grandson, Max; a sister, Linda Davis of Lincoln, Nebraska; and a brother-in-law, John Strawhacker of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kandace Kandi Napier; and a sister, Charlene Strawhacker.
Faye was a teller at F&M Bank for 25 years. She later was a bookkeeper at Alexander Lumber for seven years and then was a receptionist for the Illinois Department of Employment Security.
Faye was raised and educated in Knoxville, graduating from Knoxville High School in 1961. She was Miss Knox County in 1961. Faye had lived in Galesburg since 1962. She was of Methodist faith. Faye was a member of the Preceptor Mu Tau Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi and she was an avid bowler.
Cremation will be accorded. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Guardian Angels Humane Society or to the family.
