Don received his journeyman’s card and used it to work as a mold maker throughout his career. He began at Foster Forbes in Marion in 1974, where he worked for five years before transferring to OI Brockway in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1979. His job then moved him to Toledo, Ohio, in 1990, where he worked for Libbey Glass for ten years.
Don was a member of the Patriot Guard. He loved riding his motorcycle, and he followed NASCAR/motorsports. He especially loved his dog, Bo.
He is survived by his son, Shawn (Heather) Debruler, Muncie; daughter, Whitney (Josh) Owens, Marion; grandchildren, Corbin Debruler, Briana Weaver, and Haley Weaver; sisters, Karen (Larry) S. Cook, Franklin, and Roberta “Burtie” Debruler, Marion; nieces, Andrea (Drew) Debruler, Amy (Matt) Wilson, Angie (Rich) Buchanan, and Jennifer (Jason Greenbaum) Cook; great-nieces and great-nephews, Drew DeBruler, Janica Debruler, Luke and Sophia Wilson, Hunter and Lauren Buchanan, and Jaylun Cook; and his dog, Bo.
The family will receive visitors with Don’s funeral service April 4, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger will be officiating with burial following at Grant Memorial Park.
