Notes from Melnik-Brockville:
Herman Goedtke, aged 34 years, died at his home near here Friday, January 3rd, being a victim of influenza. Interment was at the German Lutheran Cemetery near Maribel.
The deceased is survived by his wife and two children on the home farm and his parents, three brothers and three sisters residing in Kewaunee County.
He was a kind husband and father and a good neighbor and his death will be regretted by his friends and neighbors. Our sympathy goes out to the afflicted family in our sad bereavement.
