Anna Mae Atherton, 92, passed away on April 3, 2018 at her home in Indianapolis with her family by her side. She was born on July 24, 1925 (along with her identical twin Hazel Fae) in Indianapolis to the late Clifford Andrew Devine and Nellie Cordelia (Owens) Devine.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Eddie, 14 brothers and sisters and daughter Betty Gayle Stultz.
She is survived by son Marty (Barb) Atherton, grandson Aaron (Katey) Atherton, granddaughter Jaimee (Dan) Morrow, grandson Jeremy (Anya) Giard and granddaughter Angela (Ron) Hickey, along with four great-grandchildren (Jacob Hickey, Sophia Hickey, Victoria Giard and Nicolas Giard).
She enjoyed visiting with family, reading, working crossword puzzles, playing bingo and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, and visiting with her many nieces and nephews who adored her.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018 at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
