Morgan Bennett Hunter, 78, entered the Kingdom of God on Thursday, March 29, 2018.

A native of Beulaville, NC, and a resident of Surf City, and son of the late Reuben Arnold Hunter and Mary Pauline Barbee Hunter.

Bennett leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 31 years, Bonnie Hunter; sons, Barry Hunter (Cheryl), Brian Hunter (Chryse), and Matthew Franklin (Lora); six grandchildren, Sydney (Nate), Lindsay, Sabrina, Mason, Grace, and Clara; two great-granddaughters, Holland and Carmen Grace; siblings, Byron, Billy, and Mary Beth; and former spouse, Barbara Hunter.

A disciple of Christ who reflected light and love to all he encountered. Loved, admired and respected by all who knew him. A thinker, a planner, a doer. Former USAF veteran and CIA retiree. A scientist/engineer specializing in overhead reconnaissance.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Faith Harbor United Methodist Church, 14201 Hwy 50/210, Surf City, NC 28445, with Rev. Jody Gonzalez officiating.
