Rev. Ralph Wendell Tucker, 85 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at his residence.
Born Thursday, February 9, 1933 in Decatur, Alabama, he was the son of the late Allie Tucker and the late Lilly Brooks Tucker. Rev. Tucker served as Minister in the Freewill Baptist Church for over 60 years. He was also a Veteran of The United States Army.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Norma Selby Tucker of Sparta; Son, Phillip Tucker of Sparta; Son, Stephen D. Tucker (Elizabeth) of Huntsville, AL; Grandson, Cody Tucker of Huntsville, AL; Sister, Louise Thomas of Lacey Springs, AL; Sister, Jean Delong of Huntsville, AL; Sister, Dimple Benningfield of Madison, AL; Special Niece, Pauline Abercrombie, and Cousin, Herman Brooks. Many special friends and neighbors also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, A.B, John, Glenn, and J.W. Tucker, and a sister, Goldie Lipscomb.

Funeral service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Lloyd Locklear, Rev. Freddy Copeland, Rev. David Bratcher officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm on Saturday, April 7 at the funeral home.
