Anita Bryan Childers, 59, resident of the Ripley Community and valued employee of Diversicare Health & Rehabilitation Center, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday, April 07, 2018, at her residence in Ripley.
Services cherishing the life of Ms. Childers will be at 2 PM Tuesday April, 10 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with her nephew, Bro. David Blackwell of Pontotoc officiating . Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery at Walnut.
Born July 9, 1958 in Memphis, TN, she was the daughter of the late Dan P. and Mary Jane Black Bryan. Ms. Childers moved with her family to Oxford, MS at an early age andreceived her education in the Oxford Public School System.She had been a valued employee of Diversicare Health & Rehabilitation Center in Ripley for over 10 years.
A member of Ripley Church of God, Ms. Childers devoted her life to all those she touched as a mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Ms. Childers had been a resident of Tippah County for the past 34 years and was a loving and generous soul extending kindness to all she came in contact with. Collecting "I Love Lucy" memorabilia was a favorite pastime. The joy, laughter and memories she gave to her family and friends will live on forever in their hearts.
Survivors include her sons, Adam "Buck" Childers and Cole "Pig" Childers (Blair), both of Ripley, her two wonderful grandchildren, Mason and Paislee Childers of Ripley, four sisters, Norma Blackwell of Baldwyn, Ann Fisher of Thrasher, Mary Ann Jones (Ronald) of Moscow, TN and Doris Moore (Donnie) of Falkner, three brothers, Burt Bryan (Jennifer) of Falkner, Dan Bryan (Jenny) of Memphis, TN and Neal Bryan (Lisa) of Oxford, the father of her children, James (Rocky) Childers.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
