He married Wilhelmina Claus (Klaus) on July 2, 1907 at Carmine, Fayette Co., Texas, and they had the following children: Louise Marie, Daintie Jessie, Howard Fred, Lurline Minnie, and Bernice Bernadette Hoermann. He was a farmer for most of his life.
