Committal services for Joseph H. Bishop, 80, Hankinson, N.D., and formerly of Bath, were Saturday, March 17, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Aberdeen.

Mr. Bishop died Wednesday, March 14, in Hankinson.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Saturday at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Hankinson, with the Rev. Paul Koehler officiating.

Mr. Bishop was born Dec. 1, 1898, at Glenco, Minn., to Mr. and Mrs. John Bishop.

He married Mary Roberts Sept. 19, 1925, at Aberdeen. They made their home in Bath where Mr. Bishop managed an elevator for 25 years. He moved to Regent, N.D., in 1955 to manage the elevator there and to Hankinson where he managed the elevator from 1957 until his retirement in 1965.

He is survived by his wife of Hankinson; three daughters, Mrs. Violet Cornell, Jamestown, N.D., Mrs. Maurice (Elaine) Hamilton, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Derald(Pat) James, Bath; one brother, Al Bishop, Spokane, Wash.; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Spence, Osoyoos, British Columbia; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, four brothers and four sisters.
